If you haven't yet heard about Audi's new Virtual Cockpit, then you may have missed out on our extensive coverage of the new 2017 Audi A4 in Charlotte--the German brand's compact luxury sedan that's taking the segment by storm.

Bu,t while over the last year the Audi A4 has been reviewed by the likes of Car and Driver and rated a 'Best Buy' among luxury cars, we haven't really taken the time to dive into the benefits and innovative features found on Audi's Virtual Cockpit and accompanying Multi Media Interface (MMI) system.

It's time to rectify that.

Watch the video below to hear AutoGuide's expert take on the Virtual Cockpit functionality and MMI Multimedia/Navigation.

The wide range of available options for accessing your apps, music, media, and navigation make the 2017 Audi A4's MMI system a good fit for just about anyone, whether you prefer the classic feeling of a physical button, or the futuristic capabilities of controls commanded by hand movements in the air:

"The Virtual Cockpit and the fingertip controls on the steering wheel remain my method of choice for flipping between radio stations, but I got a geeky thrill out of using handwriting recognition, so that became my go-to method to quickly narrow down the search list for contacts I wanted to call." -Jonathan Yarkony, AutoGuide

Meanwhile, the bold vision and effortless accessibility of the 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit screen offer an entirely new way to receive and digest information while driving.
