For 34 years now, Audi has offered the option of having its innovative "quattro" system with each model it sells. If you don't know what that means, fret not. It's a four wheel drive system that uses differential torque to enhance road grip and control. It's been quite popular over the years, with 5 million units sold in 2012.
Now, that number has jumped to 6 million, with the recent construction of an SQ5, bound for a U.S. customer. The quick time between the two milestones is a testament to the rising popularity of the quattro system. As a matter of fact, half of all the Audi models sold recently have been equipped with the system, 710,095 in the last year alone.
